Frozen

Title: Frozen
Author: Melissa de la Cruz
Rating: 3 stars

Description:
Set in 111 C.D., one hundred and eleven years after a Catastrophic Disaster has wiped out 99% of humanity and left the earth covered in ice, this new series introduces readers to a ragtag group of friends and the dawning of a new time. The world of reason, of mathematics and science, is ending, and a new civilization is being born from the ice: a world of magic and mayhem, sorcerers and spellcraft.

My Review:
I like the concept and characters of this story but the beginning is so slow getting into it and the end is rushed! *sighs*

Title: Creepy Carrots
Author: Aaron Reynolds
Rating: 3 stars

Description:
The Twilight Zone comes to the carrot patch in this clever picture book parable about a rabbit who fears his favorite treats are out to get him. Jasper Rabbit loves carrots—especially Crackenhopper Field carrots. He eats them on the way to school. He eats them going to Little League. He eats them walking home. Until the day the carrots start following him...or are they?      Celebrated artist Peter Brown’s stylish illustrations pair perfectly with Aaron Reynold’s text in this hilarious picture book that shows it’s all fun and games…until you get too greedy.

My Review:
This story is about a rabbit who likes to eat carrots at one farm and then the carrots have this plan to stop the rabbit... its a very short book!

And so, in an effort to bring to joy to his town, Jack kidnaps Santa and takes his place as the jolly old elf. Unfortunately, Kyrin is also the brother of Mia's prime suspect. Gritty and suspenseful, Awaken Me Darkly kicks off the Alien Huntress series, which continues with Enslave Me Sweetly.

My Review:
Wow, Idk why I didn't read this sooner. I enjoyed every moment of this sassy hunter's story. And read this mostly in one night. This was a Buddy Read, plus a BoTm from a group. I plan to read more of this series. Also this book will be part of my 12X12 challenge.

My Review:
First Steampunk book for 13X13 Challenge... I loved the story twists. I didn't know who was the bad guy until he pounced on the story. Plus I thought it was going to turn into a ghost story :)). Katherine is so level-headed for a girl her age its crazy but not that type of crazy. This was my first book by Sharon... and I can't wait to read book 2- which I got from Netgalley so soon I'll finish that. Lovely book!
