With Malice (Sampler)

Title: With Malice
Author: Eileen Cook
Sample reviewed for NG and Buzz Books

Rating: 3/5

Description: Eighteen-year-old Jill Charron wakes up in a hospital room, leg in a cast, stitches in her face and a big blank canvas where the last 6 weeks should be. She comes to discover she was involved in a fatal accident while on a school trip in Italy three days previous but was jetted home by her affluent father in order to receive quality care. Care that includes a lawyer. And a press team. Because maybe the accident...wasn't an accident. Wondering not just what happened but what she did, Jill tries to piece together the events of the past six weeks before she loses her thin hold on her once-perfect life.

My Review: This Sample was weird, it started on chapter 3, but the story was interesting and I will be trying to get the full arc from NG now! I've been declined so I will have to wait til it is published now!

Stranger in My Arms

Title: Stranger in My Arms
Author: Lisa Kleypas
Rating: 5/5

Description:
"Lady Hawksworth, your husband is not dead..."

With those words, Lara's life turned upside down. Hunter, Earl of Hawksworth, had been lost at sea. Or so she'd been told. Their unhappy marriage—with its cold caresses and passionless kisses—was over. But now a powerful, virile man stood before her, telling secrets only a husband could know, and vowing she would once again be his wife in every way. While Lara couldn't deny that this man with the smoldering dark eyes resembled hunter, he was attentive and loving in ways he never was before. Soon she desperately wanted to believe, with every beat of her heart, that this stranger was truly her husband. But had this rake reformed—or was Lara being seduced by a cunning stranger?

My Review: Love, just Loved this story. I don't know what to say, from the sassy Lara to the I knew he wasn't the earl- tho I loved him anyways. Plus Johnny... so cute. The story kept moving and everything. I think I'm in love with Lisa's writing now! YAY! so here i go to put more of hers on hold and not tell you anymore of this books- read it!
