A Corner of White

Title: A Corner of White, The Colors of Madeleine Book One
Author: Jaclyn Moriarty
Rating: 2/5
REVIEWED FOR NETGALLERY

Description:
The first in a rousing, funny, genre-busting trilogy from bestseller Jaclyn Moriarty! This is a tale of missing persons. Madeleine and her mother have run away from their former life, under mysterious circumstances, and settled in a rainy corner of Cambridge (in our world). Elliot, on the other hand, is in search of his father, who disappeared on the night his uncle was found dead. The talk in the town of Bonfire (in the Kingdom of Cello) is that Elliot's dad may have killed his brother and run away with the Physics teacher. But Elliot refuses to believe it. And he is determined to find both his dad and the truth. As Madeleine and Elliot move closer to unraveling their mysteries, they begin to exchange messages across worlds--through an accidental gap that hasn't appeared in centuries. But even greater mysteries are unfolding on both sides of the gap: dangerous weather phenomena called "color storms;" a strange fascination with Isaac Newton; the myth of the "Butterfly Child," whose appearance could end the droughts of Cello; and some unexpected kisses...

My Review:
I just couldn't get myself to get into this book, the story and the characters. I'm sorry about this because the description sounded like a book I would tho. :( Maybe in a few months or so I'll try again.

Invisibility

Title: Invisibility
Author: Andrea Cremer & David Levithan
Rating: 4/5

A magical romance between a boy cursed with invisibility and the one girl who can see him, by New York Times bestselling authors Andrea Cremer and David Levithan. Stephen is used to invisibility. He was born that way. Invisible. Cursed. Elizabeth sometimes wishes for invisibility. When you’re invisible, no one can hurt you. So when her mother decides to move the family to New York City, Elizabeth is thrilled. It’s easy to blend in there. Then Stephen and Elizabeth meet. To Stephen’s amazement, she can see him. And to Elizabeth’s amazement, she wants him to be able to see her—all of her. But as the two become closer, an invisible world gets in their way—a world of grudges and misfortunes, spells and curses. And once they’re thrust into this world, Elizabeth and Stephen must decide how deep they’re going to go—because the answer could mean the difference between love and death. From the critically acclaimed and bestselling authors Andrea Cremer, who wrote the Nigthshade series, and David Levithan, who wrote Every Day and co-wrote Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist with Rachel Cohen and Will Grayson, Will Grayson with John Green, as well as many other novels, comes a remarkable story about the unseen elements of attraction, the mortal risks of making yourself known, and the invisible desires that live within us all.

My Review:
Boy meets Girl, Girl Meets Boy Story. well besides that whole thing with curses. Stephen is the invisible boy and only Elizabeth can see them. This book is about the love you can have and the anger that someone can have where it could destroy your life and self. I liked this book alot, this was my first book by both of these authors. I'm thinking about jumping into Nightshade next month which is Andrea's book. Hopefully it is as good as this book. Plus I'm telling my peeps to read this book too... Happy reading everyone!

Spartan Frost

Title: Spartan Frost
Author: Jennifer Estep
Rating: 5/5
REVIEWED FOR NETGALLERY

Description:
I’m Logan Quinn, the deadliest Spartan warrior at Mythos Academy. At least I was—until the day I almost killed Gwen Frost.
Professor Metis and Nickamedes say that I’m fine, that Loki and the Reapers don’t have a hold on me anymore, but I can’t risk it. I can’t risk hurting Gwen again. So I’m leaving Mythos and going somewhere far, far away.
I know Gwen wonders what’s happening to me, whether I’m safe. I can’t tell her, but this is my story…

My Review:
I enjoyed this story alot, wrote in the tongue of Logan our lovely Spartan crush. He is with his father in NY where it is colder. But this story is about his healing heart- after the attack that the reapers did to him and himself hurting his love of his life, Gwen. He goes with his dad because he thinks he doesn't deserve Gwen's love. But they find that the reapers have a hideout close by. So they take care of that but find out that the reapers are making some type of green stuff. At the end of the novella Gwen is in trouble once again and Logan has to return. I love this series so much I can't wait for the next one. And thankz to Jennifer for making this series and thankz to Netgallery for letting me review this early! LUV YA! buh bye!

Witch and Wizard

Title: Witch and Wizard
Author: James Patterson
Rating: 3/5

Description:
YOUR BOOKS, MUSIC, AND ART -- BANNED

YOU ARE HOLDING AN URGENT AND VITAL NARRATIVE THAT REVEALS THE FORBIDDEN TRUTH ABOUT THESE PERILOUS TIMES. . . .

This is the astonishing testimonial I of Wisteria and Whitford Allgood, a sister and brother who were torn from their family in the middle of the night, slammed into prison, and accused of being a witch and wizard.

They are not alone in their terrifying predicament. Thousands of young people have been kidnapped. Some have been accused; many others remain missing. Their fate is unknown, and the worst is feared -- for the ruling regime will stop at nothing to suppress life and liberty, music and books, art and magic . . . and the pursuit of being a normal teenager.

Most copies of this story have already been seized, shredded, or burned. Read this rare, surviving edition and pass it along with care -- before it's too late.

My Review:
Now for myself I liked the character changing they did almost every chapter. And I love
Wisty's smart-mouth character plus her powers kick butt. The characters are bright in
color and the story moves pretty fast. I wonder about the One and what his is about.
Plus the end of the book I was like oh boy.
