Unhinged (Chapter Sampler)

Title: Unhinged (Chapter Sampler)
Author: A. G. Howard
Rating: 4/5
Reviewed for Netgallery

Description:
Alyssa Gardner has been down the rabbit hole. She was crowned Queen of the Red Court and faced the bandersnatch. She saved the life of Jeb, the boy she loves, and escaped the machinations of the disturbingly appealing Morpheus. Now all she has to do is graduate high school. That would be easier without her mother, freshly released from an asylum, acting overly protective and suspicious. And it would be much simpler if the mysterious Morpheus didn’t show up for school one day to tempt her with another dangerous quest in the dark, challenging Wonderland—where she (partly) belongs. Could she leave Jeb and her parents behind again, for the sake of a man she knows has manipulated her before? Will her mother and Jeb trust her to do what’s right? Readers will swoon over the satisfying return to Howard’s bold, sensual reimagining of Carroll’s classic.

My Review:
Even though I didn't read the first book and only got to par-take in the first chapter of the second book, I was taken by this book. I love the interaction with Morpheus and Alyssa and wanted to read more. But when I kindle got to 100%- I was in tears because I couldn't go on. Now I put the first book on hold so I can get my head around the story that got my attention. Great book so far... want to read more!

Full Book will be released in Jan 2014!

The residents of a town in Washington state awaken to the sight of foreign paratroopers dropping from the sky and quickly find themselves under enemy occupation. A group of kids escape to the surrounding woods where they begin to train, organizing themselves into a guerrilla group. They call themselves the Wolverines (their high school mascot), and band together to protect one another, liberate their town from its captors and claim their freedom.

My Review:
I enjoyed this movie as much as the first movie, of course this is a remake. But the actors were very good and the story moved which was good. Plus the movie took place in Spokane and Seattle which I want to live at one day!

This movie reminded me a bit like Ferngully though humans aren't the bad guys like that story. Though this movie made me tear up and smile. Love the story and characters- I hoping there is a book to this. If there is I'll be reading it and perhaps comparing the two in a movie vs. book video. :) I hope so. Also the movie was beautiful- the artwork nice job. Very good movie- will watch again!

My Review:
This book me forever to read... it was an ok story just not like by me I guess. Not enjoyable like his artemis fowl series which I missed. :( Maybe I'll reread that series one day. POOP! LOL. Well I can't say it was horrible there was a few good parts and I like the relationship between Riley and Chevie. And Riley's past was interesting but just dropped. I wonder if the next book will talk more about things left to question. :)

Get ready for more magic, mystery and romance!

My Review:
I love Izzy's attitude and uncertainly going into high school. This series didn't disappoint me. As a fan of Hex Hall to begin with. The story plot was good and wasn't easy to figure out who did what. So that was good. :)  I can't wait for another book for this series and find out about the relationship with Izzy and Dex... and what happens to Torin after this book Oo I was so shocked! Yup... lovely book!
